Selecting Social Impact Evaluation Methods for Arts Organizations

Paul Bakker, Social Impact Squared’s President, delivered a webinar on October 25th, 2017 as part of WorkInCulture’s Work Smarts webinar series.

The series provides career related best practices for arts administrators.  Below is the workshop description:

Increasingly those funding social initiatives want evidence of how much those initiatives are producing positive benefits for people and communities. That trend is the same for arts organizations, although arts organizations experience somewhat unique challenges, demands, and opportunities for measuring social impact.

The workshop will review the steps arts organizations should take to select the social impact evaluation methods that will best suit their needs.   We’ll review the strengths and limitations of both traditional qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as arts-based evaluation methods.  We’ll then work through the steps to select methods that fit some of the workshop attendees’ needs.
