Paul Bakker of Social Impact Squared will be presenting on the work he has done with Safe City Mississauga to capture the impact of their Neighbourhood Watch Program.
During the presentation, we will explore how people can measure the impact of place-based crime prevention efforts. We will review the challenges and the possible solutions; using the Impact Evaluation of Mississauga’s Neighbourhood Watch program as a success case example. We’ll show how we obtained a trustworthy estimate of the program’s impact on property crime, and we’ll discuss how to extend our approach to other place-based crime prevention efforts.
The conference will also feature other talks related to community crime prevention efforts.
